Course Overview:

Universal design for learning is an approach to teaching and learning that involves providing an equal opportunity to succeed for all students by reducing barriers to learning and providing different ways to represent information, express understanding and engage students. This course is broken down into three segments where viewers are introduced to UDL, learn about the guiding principles and strategies that support diverse learners, and how to plan and assess with UDL in mind. Although the planning aligns with the Grade 4-6 content area curriculum, the information would be beneficial to any teacher who is interested in implementing UDL in their classrooms.
