Conclusion
The Nova Scotia International Student Program, and all host schools, hold student success at the center of every decision, activity, and experience. The Homestay Coordinator has a direct link to students and has a unique role of nurturing and guiding the students to achieve this success, keeping in mind the measure of success is different for each individual. A student’s success could be of an academic nature, increased language ability, improved socialization, maturity, etc. Helping international students achieve personal improvement, and upholding the policies and philosophy of the NSISP, should bring personal satisfaction and pride to NSISP Homestay Coordinators. They are the backbone of the program and their fine work is the most indicative of this ongoing success story in Canadian international education.

Personal fulfillment should be a goal as a Homestay Coordinator with the NSISP. This can be achieved through continuously improving in assisting students, schools, families, communities, and the program itself. Welcome to the NSISP team and the best of success in working with international students.
